The sky was a white canvas that Tuesday morning,

Waiting for the painter, her aubade to bathe her in his choicest shades;

For he had beseached of her to grant him one chance to show her what she meant to him and love her for the ages to come.
The sun came out enveloping her in the brightest of red and golden. He knew his shy admirer too well to understand what she needed. He could read her eyes and decipher her innocent soul. He knew how self depreciating she was…. Knew that she had used every ounce of her courage to overcome her fear and bare her soul to him…. Tell him that she had a past that none had any knowledge of…. That the dark cloud had once marked her… Marked her with that indelible ink that brought him the most glory and her the most shame. She never questioned the verity of his love but she was scared that he might look down on her after he knew the truth. What she failed to realise was that the illuminator, the master, had such a generous heart that a diminutive fact like this would never diminish even a fragment of his love, his respect for her.

He knew he had to calm her jittery soul. He had to reassure her that he still burnt everyday to keep her warm, that the wind still blew to carry the lovely aroma of the flowers to her who bloomed just so that she would be beaming with a beatific smile watching them, that the roaring surges still swelled just to touch her holy feet for once, that if he was the nucleus of the universe, she was his.
He said silent words of affection for her while all she could gift him was her heartfelt gratitude, her unconditional love for him. And as they embraced for the first time, the earth shook beneath them for it had never witnessed endearment so pure while Cupid stood witness to the most bona fide form of love imaginable.
That Tuesday changed everything for the vault of heaven. It taught her that not everyone is like the dark cloud. She learnt how to live. She found a reason to survive. She was reborn.

Be the light you are looking for

Very often we hear people saying ” I cannot say this…I cannot do that.” etc. But the fact is that we CAN do them but we WILL NOT do…because we are scared. We are not scared of saying things, or doing them…What we are actually afraid of is facing the consequences that we think they will procure taking our past experiences as a sphere of reference.
They are a lot like acquired reflexes. For instance, if you show an injection to a kid who has never felt a needle before, he will not react at all, but if that same needle is kept in front of a kid who has felt it’s pain, he will cry because he knows that it is going to hurt him. The problem is not with the needle. The problem begins when the needle pierces our skin. Similarly, some people like bitter gourd, some don’t. It really has nothing to do with the bitter gourd, the real issue is the sensation of taste we feel when we eat it. That’s what we like or hate, not the vegetable.
So my point is, create a difference. You, yes you who is reading this at the moment, you can create that difference. Help people realise that not every experience is bound to be like the previous one… That not every individual is the same. Bring out the positivity in everything. Even if questions, words hurt you, don’t hurt the other person in return. Because if you do so, then where will be the difference between you and that person? Maybe that person was having a bad day, maybe things weren’t working out for him. We never know the struggles, the innumerable dilemmas and hidden fears that one face all day round. So if someone hurts you, know this that he could not control his emotions anymore. Don’t hold any grudge against him. Know this that he did not do it purposefully, that he had no such intentions in mind, it was spontaneous.
Something that we lack in today’s world is a genuine person. Be that genuine person, that idol, that inspiration you are looking for. Share happiness, spread love, induce positivity, encourage kindness, conquer negativity, respect every individual, understand those unspoken pleas and grievances their eyes reflect. Cause your small effort today can bring about a great change tomorrow—- that change that both you and I dream of.

Life – In My Eyes

What is life if not pain?
Where there is no sunshine just gallons of rain ?
Humiliation at every step, the whip hitting your back.
And torment as though you are on the rack.

You cannot shout, you cannot scream.
You cannot say,”let me live,I have a dream.”
They find faults at everything you do.
And then comes the thrashing- sometimes one, sometimes two.

“You won’t be able to do anything in life”,is what they say.
And the mental torment continues both night and day.
Some say it’s karma, others say,” it’s for your benefit”,
If it is so, I don’t want this anymore, I quit.

I quit this game of hide and seek,
Where strong pretends hide behind reality weak.
Where slaves are bought and slaves are sold,
And curses are hurled at them to prove they are not gold.
This is life, my friend, if not yours… Mine… Yes.

And how I pass each day is something you will never be able to guess.
And promise me this, a promise I request you to keep….
Take me to a vet and put me to sleep.

Waiting for a better tomorrow…
